Happy New Year! The new year is an amazing way for some to set positive intentions and take a deep breath into a new beginning, in the form of a resolution. I don’t believe in resolutions, rather a commitment to a plan for better living and helping others everyday. Whichever way you chose to jump into 2015 I hope it’s your very best….You’re worth it! New year, new breath, new chances.


Taking Steps is Easy…

There are times in everyone’s life where the universe hands us not so favorable situations that may feel small or it may feel like your world is crumbling down around you, but there is always a way to get back on your feet. Don’t make it harder on yourself by reliving the moment or situation over and over again in your mind. Taking steps is easy, standing still is hard. Keep taking steps forward and look for the positives of the situation. What can I learn from this? Why was I given this struggle? How do I become better from this? These are questions to ask yourself instead of just standing still in the negative moment and letting yourself fall apart, keep taking steps to lift yourself back up. In life, it’s most important to take any situation or experience and grow from it. Grow with more experience, more knowledge, more love, more laughs, more mistakes and grow into a better you! So I invite you today to keep taking steps forward, big or small, and don’t ever just stand still…. Life keeps moving on with or without you, you can choose to keep up with it or not. That’s solely up to you!


Live in the now!

Hi my fellow yogis! I’ve been focusing a lot of my energy recently trying to live in the now. I have always had a hard time with being patient and living for TODAY instead of focusing so much in the past or future. I have realized how much stress & anxiety can be lifted when you focus on the now. It’s important to trust in the Universe and know that everything that is in your life now is there for a reason. Whether to teach you a lesson, help you to grow & be strong or just maybe to bring you happiness. No matter what the case may be, what you have now is what you need now in your life. So I invite you to live for today… Not tomorrow not yesterday but today! No need to rush life…Have patience, have fun, work hard & have a loving soul…Everything else will fall into place as it should ~:-)

Be You!

Happy August! I wanted to start off this post with a quote…

The part of this quote that I think about most is “Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge.” This is so great because often we let the ego get the best of us & we think or feel things we may not want to think or feel. In the midst of these moments is when you should stop & think to yourself… “Is this how I want to feel?” Once you let go of the urge to control your life, your circumstances, the people around you, how people feel about you & start living for YOU… You will feel an immense sense of freedom rush over you. This certainly takes time and I have been working on this process for a while now. I know all I can do in this life is be a good person & be myself! So I invite you today to just BE YOU! Don’t worry about what others think about you…Be kind, be caring, be understanding, laugh often, don’t judge & just let go. ॐ

Learn to Bend!

While talking to a friend this week it really made me realize the importance of going with the flow in life. We need to LEARN to bend so we don’t break. It takes time to learn how to be flexible and just let things be but once you embrace this idea, life becomes a little bit easier. You can plan and plan to the very last tiny detail but things don’t always go as planned.
In my life I try to stay positive and make the best out of every situation. If you can go through struggles and keep pushing forward you’re on the right path. Be proud of yourself for that! It’s hard to keep truckin’ when you feel angry, upset or defeated but life keeps changing and moving on…and so can you! I challenge you all to let go of those hardships today and start to LEARN to bend ~:-)

I’ve been practicing more back bend poses lately. Here’s my attempt at the Pigeon pose! Still needs a little work but I’m learning to bend more and more each day…physically and mentally 🙂
