Happy New Year! The new year is an amazing way for some to set positive intentions and take a deep breath into a new beginning, in the form of a resolution. I don’t believe in resolutions, rather a commitment to a plan for better living and helping others everyday. Whichever way you chose to jump into 2015 I hope it’s your very best….You’re worth it! New year, new breath, new chances.
Happy Holidays everyone! I love this time of year… Christmas music, yummy treats, gift giving, time with friends, family, & lots of feelings of gratitude. Not everyone feels these things during the holidays though. The true spirit of the holidays is often lost in the chaos of life… Stress, family drama, crime. I see more often than not, the drama associated with everyone’s differences in culture or Religion. Should I say Happy Holidays? Merry Christmas? Happy Hanukkah? Happy Kwanzaa? Will I offend someone if I say the wrong holiday? Here’s what I say to that…. Spread your spirit as you wish! Let it shine bright! Why is it offensive to share your holiday spirit with another person? Why is it offensive to share your culture or religion with others? If you celebrate Christmas than wish others a Merry Christmas. If you celebrate Hanukkah than you go ahead a say Happy Hanukkah. I celebrate Christmas, but I love to hear any type of holiday cheer being spread around! My whole point is this…. The holidays are for positivity, happiness, LOVE, spending time with family & friends. Not hatred, anger or nonacceptance . So I invite you today and this holiday season to embrace other cultures, religions, & nationalities. Take the time to listen and understand… You may learn something new 🙂
Here is a great article I read about life lessons that can be learned from yoga and Hanukkah. Check it out…

Hello my favorites! I read a quote this morning that really clicked with me….
“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”
-D. Von Teese
It’s so true! I take a lot of things to heart and let others opinions effect me often. After I read this quote, it made so much sense! Not everyone is going to like you and you can’t please everyone. This is why the universe puts certain people in your life and takes certain people out. Sometimes hearing other peoples opinions can really help you to learn about yourself and make changes, but other times others opinions are just that…. OPINIONS. You take them into consideration and then you move on. Don’t think too much about it. Don’t let it make you upset. Just let it be. It’s important to always be you & if you love you, than it doesn’t matter what others think. The most important thing is to be happy…. So I invite you today to be happy with yourself, be happy with your choices & be happy with your life! Don’t forget, you’re the best peach ever! and if someone in your life doesn’t like your kind of peach well…. I guess it’s time for you to say “peach out”! ✌️
In the midst of my yoga journey I have been struggling with making a decision…. A decision that I knew I wanted to make but I kept battling with the “what if’s”. The main “what if” was cost. I’ve been thinking a lot lately the past few months about doing a Yoga Teacher Training and using yoga for so much positive change but the cost of the training had me turning away. Even people in my life said “wow, that’s a bit pricey! I don’t know if you should do that”. But I KNEW I wanted to do this and after months of thinking, and thinking and thinking, I signed up for the teacher training that starts in the Fall! I just stopped thinking and went with my intuition. Trust your intuition always! I’m so excited for what’s to come… Lives I will be able to touch with yoga, people I will be able to help, knowledge I will be gaining for myself and my own practice. The benefits are endless and so worth the money! This really made me, once again, see that you always should do what makes you happy and do what you feel in your gut to be right! Listen to others and their opinions but then make the choice that’s good for you! So I invite you all today to take a leap of faith… Do something that scares you, something that may feel out of your comfort zone because that means you’re doing something amazing!
I hope you all have a beautiful day ~:-)
There are times in everyone’s life where the universe hands us not so favorable situations that may feel small or it may feel like your world is crumbling down around you, but there is always a way to get back on your feet. Don’t make it harder on yourself by reliving the moment or situation over and over again in your mind. Taking steps is easy, standing still is hard. Keep taking steps forward and look for the positives of the situation. What can I learn from this? Why was I given this struggle? How do I become better from this? These are questions to ask yourself instead of just standing still in the negative moment and letting yourself fall apart, keep taking steps to lift yourself back up. In life, it’s most important to take any situation or experience and grow from it. Grow with more experience, more knowledge, more love, more laughs, more mistakes and grow into a better you! So I invite you today to keep taking steps forward, big or small, and don’t ever just stand still…. Life keeps moving on with or without you, you can choose to keep up with it or not. That’s solely up to you!
The root of letting go and living life to YOUR fullest potential…is peace. It’s difficult to let go, move forward, accept, be less anxious, be less fearful, be less stressed without peace. I could go on and on with examples but it all comes down to having peace within yourself. Everyone reaches a state of peace in their own way and on their own time. How do you find peace within yourself? By eating a delicious piece of cake? Read a book? Go to a yoga class? Spend time with your family? Talk with a friend? Meditate? Cry? Laugh? Dance? Whatever it is that makes your soul happy and brings you peace….Do that! And do it as often as necessary. There are lots of things that bring me peace and a large piece of chocolate lava cake is one of them!…and a spoon full of Nutella 😉
The only thing missing in moments of fear, stress, confusion, anxiety, sadness, pain……is peace. So I invite you today to find your peace & make your soul happy! Oh, and go out & enjoy the sunshine, Spring is finally here! 🙂
Happy Spring everyone! Well to some of you… It’s still a bit cold here in upstate NY & more snow expected tonight! Whether it’s the weather you’re bummed about or something deeper, sometimes you just have to chuck it in the f*ck it bucket and move on! I’ve realized this more than ever the last few weeks. You can worry, you can wonder, you can get upset, you can be angry, you can cry but it’s not going to change anything. Feeling and acting this way will only ruin a perfectly good day. Don’t ruin a wonderful day by thinking about a bad yesterday, week or year. Let it go. The universe has a plan for everyone…. Trust in this plan and live your life to the fullest. Don’t worry about the things you can’t change or control. I have a hard time relinquishing control and just letting go sometimes but when you finally do, you will feel free, and at peace. So I invite you today to just chuck it! Chuck away your worries, be you, be good, be adventurous, take risks, live in the moment & let it all go!
